Permanent hair removal is a revolutionary method that allows you to get rid of unwanted hair without the need for regular shaving, waxing, or depilation. At our clinic, we use two types of devices—a diode laser and IPL.
IPL (Intense Pulsed Light) hair removal uses devices that generate flashes of light at various wavelengths. These flashes are emitted by xenon lamps. The hairs absorb the light energy from the flashes, and due to the excess energy, they are subsequently “destroyed.” As a result, the hairs will soon fall out on their own.
The principle behind laser hair removal is essentially the same as that of IPL hair removal. However, lasers have much more energy than the light emitted by a xenon lamp, which generally makes the treatment slightly more effective. As a result, the procedure needs to be repeated fewer times than with IPL.
The biggest difference between these two hair removal methods may be the patient’s reaction. Each of us reacts to the effects of the laser individually. Thanks to our many years of experience with both laser and IPL technology, we are able to recommend solutions to our clients that will deliver the best results. A combination of both technologies is no exception. This approach ensures the highest possible hair removal effectiveness with a minimum number of sessions. Naturally, this procedure also has a positive impact on the final cost of treatment.

Laser hair removal is one of the most effective methods of hair removal.
IPL is a highly effective method for removing unwanted hair from all parts of the body. The photoepilation device emits a safe beam of light onto the treatment area, which is converted into heat upon contact with the hair’s pigment. The beam travels along the hair shaft, cutting off its nutrient supply, and the hair falls out within 14 days. With IPL treatment, we are able to effectively remove even blonde and white hair (i.e., hair without pigmentation), which, for example, a laser cannot remove 100% completely.
In addition to permanent hair removal, the IPL method also offers skin rejuvenation. This rejuvenation is based on stimulating the regeneration of connective tissue cells (known as fibroblasts). After the treatment, the skin appears firmer, smoother, and more radiant.
Permanent laser hair removal is a gradual process—individual treatments are repeated approximately every 4 weeks, and 6 to 8 sessions are usually needed to achieve optimal results. That’s why it pays to start as soon as possible. The sooner you start the process, the sooner you’ll reach the stage where hair growth is significantly reduced or completely stopped. Regular intervals are key, because the laser only affects hair during a specific growth phase, and this phase can only be targeted through repeated treatments.
It is also important to keep your skin in good condition throughout the treatment series and avoid overexposure to the sun. That is precisely why it is ideal to start hair removal as early as December, when you are less exposed to the sun and travel less—the summer months are filled with vacations, lighter clothing, and more time spent outdoors, which can disrupt the regularity of your treatments.
Laser hair removal involves directing a laser beam directly into the hair follicle. This destroys the hair roots without affecting the surrounding areas. One of the main advantages of laser hair removal is its high success rate.
At our Dermaestet clinic, we use the state-of-the-art Soprano diode hair removal laser, which concentrates the energy needed for hair removal more precisely than other systems. The device is equipped with a wider applicator, which significantly increases both its effectiveness and the speed of treatment.
Before the treatment, we will clean the area to ensure no makeup, lotion, or deodorant remains on the skin’s surface, and then apply a clear gel. Based on your skin type and level of tanning, a medical professional will determine the optimal settings and begin the hair removal procedure. To ensure maximum effectiveness, we always perform hair removal according to a specific protocol, which varies depending on the area being treated. After the laser hair removal is complete, we’ll remove the cooling gel, and you’ll be ready to go home.

When it comes to removing unwanted hair, nothing is more important than consistency. The frequency of treatments varies from person to person; we typically schedule them every 1 month to 6 weeks, for a total of about 6 to 8 sessions in a row. After completing the series, you can look forward to smooth, completely hair-free skin. Over time, hair may reappear, but it will be new hair growing in different places, and thanks to our treatment, it will be finer and grow more slowly.
We do not perform hair removal during pregnancy or while breastfeeding, or if you have epilepsy, certain hormonal disorders, or inflammatory or infectious conditions in the treatment area. This treatment also cannot be performed if your skin is too tanned.
The laser beams are sensitive to the pigment in hair, which they destroy, thereby eliminating the hair follicle. However, the same pigment is present in the skin when it is tanned. Permanent hair removal can therefore be performed no sooner than 6 weeks after a visit to a tanning salon or significant sun exposure. Furthermore, it cannot be performed on areas of skin with tattoos or scars.
Different hair colors require different preparation before hair removal. If you have both dark and light hair on your body, you cannot remove them all at once—each type requires a different procedure.
Dark hair is the easiest to treat with hair removal. Just shave it with a razor the day before, just as you would for a regular shave. Dark hair responds very well to the light from the devices, so results are achieved more quickly. Six to eight treatment sessions are usually sufficient.
Light-colored hair is more difficult to remove. You should not shave before the procedure; instead, the hair is plucked with tweezers—right at the clinic, just before the treatment. This is because light-colored hair responds less effectively to the laser beams, so a different approach is needed. Expect to need more than 10 sessions.
The basic rule is simple: shave black hair, but leave white and light-colored hair to the experts. Don’t try to pluck light-colored hair yourself at home—you could make the hair removal results worse. Always follow our doctors’ instructions for your specific hair type.
For anyone who wants to permanently remove hair from anywhere on the body.
For clients with heightened sensitivity to pain, the pulse may be slightly uncomfortable. The treatment takes place beneath the skin’s surface; the skin’s surface is never damaged.
Using our equipment, we can remove hair from anywhere on the body, with the exception of the nostrils and ears. We also do not perform hair removal on areas with tattoos or scars.
Before permanent hair removal, you need to trim or shave the hair regularly. The hair must not be plucked or waxed. Before the first treatment, you need to let the hair grow out slightly. If you have very light hair, bring wax strips with you.
We do not recommend the treatment for pregnant or breastfeeding women, or for patients with epilepsy or chronic or infectious diseases. The procedure is also not suitable after significant sun exposure or for tattooed or scarred areas.
For a permanent effect, an average of 6 to 8 sessions is required.
The results are truly permanent, provided there are no hormonal fluctuations, such as those caused by pregnancy or illness.
