Raised scars won't bother you anymore

Are you bothered by a raised or thickened scar and would like it to shrink or become less visible, but don’t want to undergo surgical removal? Then scar correction using corticosteroids is the right solution for you. It is a completely simple and quick method of scar correction that does not require a scalpel.

Scars form wherever the integrity of the skin is compromised. This occurs as a result of injury, surgery, acne, or chickenpox. The risk of keloid formation is very high in these areas. Keloids most commonly develop on the décolletage, shoulders, and in children during their developmental stage; for this reason, we do not recommend performing minor cosmetic procedures on individuals under the age of 18. This does not apply to dangerous moles or tumors, which must always be removed, even if there is a risk of keloid scar formation.

Within the first three months after a scar forms, it’s already possible to tell how it will develop. If the scar begins to rise above the skin, it’s clear that it has a tendency to overgrow and develop into a hypertrophic or keloid scar. In that case, don’t wait—consult a dermatologist as soon as possible.

Corticosteroid injections are the least invasive, quickest, and most effective method for treating unsightly scars.

Treatment without recovery

The doctor administers the treatment into the scar using a fine needle. Over the next 6 weeks, the active ingredient will break down the thickened tissue, causing the scar to soften and shrink. After the treatment, we will cover the injection site with a bandage, which you can remove one hour after the procedure.

This treatment does not require any additional recovery time.

Achieving the best possible result

Results vary greatly from person to person. The treatment is repeated until the scar is completely softened. This treatment is not suitable for everyone; therefore, it is always necessary to consult with a doctor before the procedure, who will discuss all options with you on an individual basis.
